Lesson Fees
There is no admission fee.
Most schools in Tokyo are charging ¥5,000-¥10,000 of admission fee. However, sLs Japan Orchestra does not charge an admission fee or registration fee.
The lesson fees are shown in the table below. Consumption tax and studio fee is included in the fees.
The content and frequency of lessons can be customized according to the customer's request.

Courses
String Explorer Class (Private Lessons)
String Explorer class is private lessons for string instruments. one on one with theory and practical to prepare for ensemble training in the future. The main focus is to join ensemble training in the future. Music Lessons are available at the student's home or music studio.

■ Senior Faculty Courses
Designed for ambitious students demanding elite technical guidance, specialized coaching, ABRSM exams, music university audition preparation and high-level classical repertoire.
These lessons are taught exclusively by our Senior Professional Instructors. (10+ years of experience or a conservatory Master's degree)

Parents or students may explicitly request a Senior Instructor for early-stage instruction.

An introduction to string orchestra
This course is the first step of learning to play with another musician. (pair-up students ) two students. For example ( can be two violin students or a violin and a cello students )

Kids/ Youth/ Adults Ensemble training
This course is the next step after the introduction course to string orchestra.At least 4 students and above. For example3 violin students and a cello student ortwo violin students, a viola and a cello student. If needed, we can accommodate more students.
At Rehearsal Studio

Travel fees are not included in the calculations above and must be paid for by the student(s) on top of the lesson fees. .※Please contact us and inform us your location ( nearest station )
Transportation Policy: Home/Studio lessons within our local service area incur a flat transportation fee of ¥1,000 per visit. For extended travel zones requiring bus transfers or commutes exceeding 21 minutes ( one way ), a flat ¥1,500 extended travel fee will apply. Travel zones are calculated and fixed upon registration.
Zone A: Standard Distance — ¥1,000 Flat Fee

Criteria: Homes/Studios located within a 20-minute travel time from the teacher's home station.
Zone B: Extended Distance — ¥1,500 Flat Fee

Criteria: Homes/Studios located between 21 and 50 minutes from the teacher's home station or locations requiring a train and a local bus transfer.
* In case of group lessons , instructor`s transportation costs will be shared among the students.
* If you want to take lessons at a music studio ( 20 locations in Tokyo- Shibuya-ku, Minato-ku, Setagaya-ku, Shinagawa-ku, Toshima-ku, Bunkyo-ku, Meguro-ku, Chuo-ku, Chiyoda-ku, Koto-ku, Ota-ku, Taito-ku, Tachikawa, Musashino),
*48 Hour Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy. As long as the school is given at least 48 hours notice the student may reschedule their lesson without penalty. However, any notifications under 48 hours notice will result in the student forfeiting the lesson fee and no makeup lesson will be offered. In the case of illness a doctor’s certificate will be required.
*For studio lessons. If you want to change the lesson date and time, you will be charged the studio cancellation fee if it is less than 6 days before the lesson.
